~Vokodlok~

Vokodlok is a romanian Raw Black Metal band formed in the year 2000 (Timisoara) when “Four rebelious spirits” as they call themselves, GiauR, Strigoi, Blestemat and Claudiu decided to give birth to a new and original entity. The band’s name is derived from the slavic word “vukodlak” which means “werewolf” (or the romanian “vârcolac “), a mystical creature that lives in many Transylvanian legends, a wolf that swallows the sun and the moon, born in the deep dark ancient woods of the intra-carpathian area. Their lyrical themes are inspired by Transylvanian Legends, Anti-Religious, Death. After a few live performances, Claudiu decided to leave the battle and then Freak took over the drums.

Being complete, the band recorded in the same year the demo “Unchain the Wolf”, which contains five tracks of aggressive Black-Death Metal, inspired from the dark side of humanity and representing a hybrid between apocalyptic thoughts and soul tortures.Title "Unchain the Wolf" comes from Vokodlok being a Romanian word for Werewolf. The demo was released on MCD gold by “Beauty of Pain” Productions (Romania) and as a split tape, along with “Bloody Harvest”(Germany) by “Axa Valaha” Prod. (Romania) and “Eclipse of Life Promulgation” Prod. (Germany).

“Mass Murder Genesis” spreads ideas of crime through the ways of Black Metal, standing in the line of anti-christianity, combining malefic lyrics and the disgust towards the forced religions and the christian puritan values with devilish blast rhythms and raw sounds. Eight tracks of Transylvanian Death-Black Metal present the thing that is inevitable in life, the healing death. which takes different forms: before life itself, during life - ascending to immortality, and the most important thing by murder… showing that evil never dies.“Mass Murder Genesis” was promoted internationally and was followed by intense years of of live appearances in Eastern European countries, along bands like Vader, Hecate Enthroned, Mystic Circle, Cirith Gorgor and as a support band for Catamenia’s East European miniTour in 2005.

~Argus Megere~

Argus Megere is a romanian Black Metal band from Timisoara ,that will introduce you as well to the dark and mysterious side of our wonderful country, but at the same time you’ll be able to identify lyrical themes such as nihilism, misanthropy or anti-christian. It was formed in 1996 by Fulmineos (vocals, drums, keyboard) and Erebus (guitars). A interview with Argus Megere you can find here and here

The first demo was unleashed in the summer of 1997, with some additional members at bass and keyboards from Negura Bunget, the other black metal band in our town. The material entiteled “Diabolical risen to the nocturnal sky” was well recieved even though it had a mediocre sound.

Next demo “Castelul Noptii” was released in the fall of 1998; it was an improvement, both in sound and at conceptual level. It sold quite well in the national underground and also foreign contacts were made with this occasion. There were two new members: Tammuz (bass) and Naamah (keyboards) but soon they had to go too.

So for the recordings of the debut album “Obscur si etern” Fulmineos and Erebus decided to work alone. The material recorded in the spring of 2000 and was released on the tape version in 2002 by a small local label. The material contain seven songs as seven sins of fast but yet atmospheric funeral black metal, about 45 minutes of darkness and evil under the mighty forests of the Carpathian mystic lands. After this first album the band composed new material entitled: “Solitar in Straniu” which featured another ten songs of funeral harsh blackness. Also having some problems with the name, it was changed into: ARGUS MEGERE.

Argus (or Argos) was a monster in Greek mythology. He was famous in legend for having many eyes. With his multiple sets of eyes, he could see nearly everything in his vicinity. And indeed, with his keen vision, Argus was regarded as an almost perfect mythological guard creature.

Having some opportunities for live appearances they recruited new members: Izual on bass and Egregor on drums and started playing in different clubs and at some festivals. In autumn of 2006 was unleashed the ten years anniversary double-CD entitled “Inchinaciune Intunericului”, a total surprise for the underground maniacs that have been following the band through all this time.

Now the new songs are almost ready and the band is making the last arrangements to enter the studio for material that will be called: “A treia cale”
